Christian Sesma, already a successful restauranteur from Palm Springs Ca, was inspired to pursue his passion in filmmaking after graduating from San Diego State with a degree in Anthropology. An avid film buff, Christian decided to make a pair of “no-budget” shorts. Both gained official selections on the Short Film Festival circuit in 2004. That move led to his first no budget feature in 2005 with the drama/thriller titled 6:30 which was released domestically on VOD and DVD everywhere.
Since then he has made seven full length feature films . The last 4 of them within the last 18 months. Sesma is known as a major up and coming action filmmaker in Hollywood, coined as the next Robert Rodriguez in the action genre, recently signed to the Creative Artsists Agency. He’s releasing 3 new action films in 2015…All of them shot and completed in 2014.
Most notably Vigilante Diaries, a graphic novel style action film being put out by Relativity, Awol-72 an action thriller being released by XLrator Media and The Nightcrew releasing theatrically both domestically and in Asia by EOne Entertainment.
Christian considers himself a mainstream Latino filmmaker with a passion for genre films.
He’s currently in pre-production on The Wetlands a cop revenge action film based in Vegas being packaged by CAA and BOOM!Town a big budget Latino action western set for production in Summer 2015.
